When you are shopping this holiday season, remember to use cash! (We don't want to get into more debt than is necessary). Well, that could include your debit or checkcard. But remember, when using the "credit" feature on your checkcard, you risk not having immediate access to funds in the event that you have to return a large purchase.
I have been in this situation. So, even though using the "debit" feature of your checkcard may cost you $.25 per transaction, it is priceless when you have to return a $200-$300 purchase. You will have your cash in hand to re-purchase or use the money elsewhere!
